Yang Xuezeng Killed in Thousand Oaks Hit-and-run Crash

THOUSAND OAKS, CA (July 14, 2022) – On Thursday night in Thousand Oaks, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed an elderly man. The crash occurred on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, near Clay Court and to the west of it.
The victim was later identified as Yang Xuezeng.
Xuezeng was going across the street with other people within a crosswalk that is marked when a vehicle–described as a white sedan–struck him, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said.
The driver stopped momentarily, according to a person who witnessed the incident, but the driver fled the crash site without helping the victim.
Responders transported Xuezeng to the hospital. He died in the hospital.
Xuezeng was 77 years old.
Images captured by surveillance cameras of the crash were made public by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
