Ventura Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-run Crash on Thompson Boulevard

VENTURA, CA (April 12, 2022) – Early in the morning on Sunday in Ventura, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver. The April 10 crash occurred where Ash Street and Thompson Boulevard intersect.

The time was a little before 12:30 a.m., Ventura Police said.

Authorities believe the victim had been walking across Thompson Boulevard, and a vehicle–described as a sedan, silver in color–struck him. The driver did not stop to help the victim, or remain at the crash site.

Responders arrived and provided medical attention to the victim, but he died at the crash site. He was identified only as 30 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash, and the suspect hit-and-run driver, who has not been described.
