Three Teen Boys Killed in Pasadena Crash on Michillinda Avenue

PASADENA, CA (January 18, 2022) – Early in the evening on Sunday, a crash in Pasadena killed three teen boys.
The story was initially reported that the car they were traveling in had plunged from the 210 Freeway above, but reports say that according to Peter Nicholson, who is an officer with the California Highway Patrol, the witness had been mistaken.
The January 16 crash occurred on Michillinda Avenue near Foothills Boulevard.
The time was roughly 8:25 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
The vehicle–described as a Honda–had been traveling southbound on Michillinda Avenue and, for reasons that are not known, the vehicle went out of the driver’s control.
The Honda struck a raise curb, and a fence of chain link. The Honda then hit an embankment and overturned.
The driver–identified only as 17 years old–died at the crash site. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
One of the passengers–a boy, 16 years old–also died at the crash site. His name and city of residence have also not been reported.
Responders transported another boy who had been a passenger to the hospital. He died in the hospital.
He was identified only as a resident of Monterey Park, 17 years old. His name has not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work on the crash. If anyone has information about the crash, the person can contact the California Highway Patrol.
