San Diego Hit-and-run Crash Injures Pedestrian in Lincoln Park Area

SAN DIEGO, CA (March 2, 2022) – On Tuesday night in San Diego, a pedestrian was struck and injured in the Lincoln Park area. The March 1 crash occurred on 47th Street.
The time was roughly 9:15 p.m., San Diego Police said.
According to authorities, the pedestrian was going across 47th Street on a diagonal when a vehicle struck him. The suspect driver did not stop to help the victim, but fled the crash site.
Responders transported the patient to a hospital. The types of injuries he suffered, and current condition, are not known.
He was identified only as 27 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The suspect driver has not been described. The person is being sought by investigators on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.
