Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Comanche Drive in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 28, 2021) – On Monday in Bakersfield, a pedestrian was struck and killed. The September 27 crash occurred on Comanche Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle–which has not been described–was heading south on Comanche Drive. A pedestrian walked into the roadway, and the vehicle struck her.
The pedestrian died at the crash site. She was identified as a resident of Arvin, 72 years old. Her name has not been reported.
The driver stayed at the crash scene and cooperated with investigators. She was identified as 17 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
