Pedestrian on 5 Freeway in La Mirada is Struck and Killed

LA MIRADA, CA (October 29, 2021) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in La Mirada, a pedestrian was struck and killed on the 5 Freeway. The October 27 crash occurred on the northbound side of the freeway, close to Valley View Avenue.
The time was roughly 5:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
No details have been reported on the circumstances of the pedestrian being in a traffic lane of the freeway. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian has not been described.
Responders arrived to help, but the person died at the crash site. His name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.
The identity of the driver has also not been reported. It is not known if the driver was hurt in the crash.
