Pacific Beach Hit-and-run Crash on Grand Avenue Injures Pedestrian

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 25, 2021) – Early in the morning on Saturday in Pacific Beach, a pedestrian was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver. The October 23 crash occurred on Grand Avenue close to Kendall Street.

The time was roughly 1:00 a.m., San Diego Police said.

The pedestrian had been walking on Grand Avenue, and a vehicle–described as an SUV, white in color–struck her. The driver did not stop to help the injured woman, but fled the crash site.

It is not known if the victim was walking across the street when the vehicle struck her.

Responders transported her to a hospital. She suffered injuries that have not been described.

Her identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.

Investigators with the Traffic Division of the San Diego Police Department are collecting information and details about the crash to locate the vehicle involved, and the suspect hit-and-run driver. If anyone has information about the crash, the person can contact police.
