Long Beach Crash at Willard Street and Pacific Ave. Kills Two, Injures Two

LONG BEACH, CA (August 17, 2021) – Early in the morning on Monday in Long Beach, a crash killed two people and injured two others. The August 16 crash occurred where Pacific Avenue and Willard Street are located.
The time was roughly 1:40 a.m., according to Long Beach Police.
Two vehicles–described as a Toyota Camry and a Honda Civic–collided. Reports say that according to the early stages of the investigation, speed may have played a role.
Responders found wreckage from the crash in the area. One person–who had been traveling in the Toyota as a passenger–was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
She was identified only as being roughly 25 to 30 years of age. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
Responders transported the person who had been driving the Toyota to a hospital in the area. She died in the hospital.
She was identified as a resident of Long Beach, 21 years old. Her name has not been reported.
Responders transported the person who had been driving the Honda to the hospital, as well as the passenger who had been traveling with her.
The driver and the passenger suffered injuries that were described as critical. The driver was identified only as 44 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
The passenger was identified only as a man, 30 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
