Irvine Multi-vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway Kills One, Injures Others

IRVINE, CA (November 15, 2021) – Early in the morning on Sunday in Irvine, multiple vehicles collided in the 5 Freeway, killing one person and injuring others. The November 14 crash occurred in the southbound lanes of the freeway, close to Yale Avenue.
The time was roughly 2:12 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
No details have been reported on the exact number of vehicles that crashed, nor has a description of all the vehicles been provided. One vehicle was described as a black sedan.
The manner in which the crash occurred, and the sequence that affected each vehicle, are also not yet known.
Responders arrived and found one person was killed in the crash. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
Responders transported three people to hospitals in the area. The types of injuries they suffered, and their current condition, are not known. None of the patients have been identified.
