Buena Park Hit-and-run Crash at Western Ave. Kills Pedestrian

BUENA PARK, CA (May 4, 2022) – Late at night on Monday in Buena Park, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a pedestrian. The May 2 crash occurred close to where Melrose Street and Western Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly a little before 10:00 p.m., Buena Park Police said.
Video from a surveillance camera recorded the incident, and was made public by police. Reports say that the video captured a vehicle–described as a Toyota SUV, blue in color–striking a pedestrian.
The driver did not remain at the crash site, but fled the scene.
Responders pronounced the victim deceased at the crash site. His identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
Investigators are searching for the vehicle, and the suspect driver, who has not been described.
