Bonita Four-vehicle Crash on State Route 54 causes Injuries

BONITA, CA (September 29, 2021) – Four vehicles collided early in the morning on Tuesday in Bonita, causing injuries. The September 28 crash occurred on State Route 54 on the westbound side of the roadway.
The time was roughly 1:00 a.m., San Diego Fire-Rescue said.
None of the vehicles involved in the crash has been described. The sequence in which each vehicle was involved in the crash has also not been described.
One of the vehicles may have overturned in the crash, according to reports.
Responders from San Diego Fire-Rescue and the California Highway Patrol arrived to offer help.
Responders transported one person to the hospital. The types of injuries she suffered were described as minor.
According to the California Highway Patrol, she was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Her identity–including name, age, and city of residence–has not been reported.
The other drivers involved in the crash have also not been identified. Reports do not say if anyone else was hurt in the crash.
Investigators are working to understand the cause of the crash.
