Corina Bernal Identified as Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 17, 2021) – This week, the coroner’s office released the identity of the person who was struck and killed on September 7 in Bakersfield. The victim was identified as Corina Bernal, 61 years old.

Bernal was struck and fatally injured on Ming Avenue in the 4200 block. Responders transported her to Kern Medical. Bernal died in the hospital.

Investigators are continuing to gather information and details regarding the case to understand why the crash happened, and examine any circumstances that may have been involved.
