Josiah Moy Gonzalez Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Lopez Drive near Arroyo Grande

ARROYO GRANDE, CA (September 9, 2021) – Josiah Moy Gonzalez was killed in a motorcycle crash on Saturday near Arroyo Grande. The September 4 crash occurred on Lopez Drive, not far from Grieb Ranch Way.
The time was a little before 8:00 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
The motorcycle was going west on Lopez Drive, authorities say and, for reasons that are not known, the motorcycle went into the lane of opposing traffic. The motorcycle collided with a car, described as a Kia.
The impact of the crash threw Gonzalez from the bike. Responders arrived and pronounced Gonzalez deceased at the crash site. He was a resident of San Fernando, 29 years old.
According to reports, the person who had been driving the Kia was not injured in the crash. The driver has not been identified in reports.
A person who had been traveling as a passenger in the Kia suffered injuries that were described as minor. The identity of the person has not been reported.
