Lancaster School Bus Crash Injures Six

LANCASTER, CA (February 28, 2022) – Early in the morning on Friday in Lancaster, a school bus and another vehicle collided, injuring six people. The February 25 crash occurred close to where Avenue J1 and 53rd Street West intersect, near the 14 Freeway and to the west of it.

The time was roughly 7:30 a.m., Los Angeles County Fire said.

For reasons that are not known, the vehicle–which has not been described–and a school bus collided in a residential area.

Responders arrived and took six patients to the hospital. None of the patients have been identified, and it is not known how many of the patients were children who had been aboard the bus.

The number of students who were traveling in the bus when the crash happened is not known.

Reports also do not say how many people were in the other vehicle.

The types of injuries suffered, and current condition of the patients has not been reported.

Investigators are working to understand the crash.
