Carlsbad Two-vehicle Crash at Cannon Road and El Camino Real Kills One

CARLSBAD, CA (November 3, 2021) – Late at night on Monday in Carlsbad, two vehicles collided, killing one person. The November 1 crash occurred where El Camino Real and Cannon Road intersect.
The time was roughly 11:25 p.m., according to police.
A vehicle–described as a Mitsubishi Montero SUV–had been heading east on Cannon Road. The Mitsubishi collided with a vehicle–described as an Acura sedan–and overturned in the crash.
The driver died at the crash site. The person has not been identified in reports.
The Acura’s driver suffered injuries that were described as minor. The person has also not been identified.
Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened.
