LOS ANGELES, CA (October 7, 2021)<\/strong> \u2013 One person was killed and others were injured early in the morning on Tuesday in Los Angeles when a hit-and-run driver crashed into three vehicles. The October 5 crash occurred in the North Hills area, where Hayvenhurst Avenue and Nordhoff Street intersect.<\/p>\n The time was roughly 5:30 a.m., authorities said.<\/p>\n Reports say a witness, identified as Brian Macklin, had said he was traveling to work and saw a vehicle–described as a Range Rover, black in color–go through a light that was red. The Range Rover collided with three vehicles–one of which was a Honda Civic–at the intersection.<\/p>\n According to Macklin, the person driving the Range Rover, and another occupant, ran from the crash site.<\/p>\n Exiting his vehicle, Macklin went to the Honda Civic to help the people who were trapped in the wreckage. The person who had been driving the Honda was killed in the crash.<\/p>\n Her identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.<\/p>\n Responders took two people to the hospital. The identities of the two people have not been reported.<\/p>\n The types of injuries they suffered, and current condition, are not known. Reports do not say what vehicle they had been traveling in.<\/p>\n Authorities say they collected DNA evidence to help them find the suspects who had been traveling in the Range Rover, which was reported to have been stolen.<\/p>\n Investigators are continuing to work on the crash.<\/p>\n
