Crash may have been Intentional When South Los Angeles Woman Struck and Killed on W. 39th Street<\/h2>\n

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2021) \u2013<\/strong> Early in the morning on Sunday in South Los Angeles, a woman was struck and killed. Authorities think the October 3 crash–which occurred on West 39th Street in the 1500 block–may have been intentional.<\/p>\n

The time was roughly 2:43 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department said.<\/p>\n

According to Mike Lopez, who is an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, officers arrived on scene and found the pedestrian. A witness reported that the driver hit the person on purpose, and fled the scene.<\/p>\n

Responders pronounced the woman deceased at the crash site. She was identified only as 46 years old. Her name has not been reported.<\/p>\n

Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved–which has not been described–and the suspect driver, who has also not been described.<\/p>\n
