SAN DIEGO, CA (August 20, 2021) \u2013<\/strong> Late at night on Wednesday in San Diego, a crash involving a cement truck and a car sent the truck to fall over on I-5. The August 18 crash occurred on the southbound side of the freeway, close to where Clairemont Drive is located in the area of Mission Bay.<\/p>\n

The time was roughly 10:45 p.m., according to authorities.<\/p>\n

Reports say that according to people who witnessed the crash, a car–which has not been described–hit the rear-end of the cement truck. The impact sent the truck off of the roadway, and it overturned and hit a tree before coming to a stop.<\/p>\n

Good Samaritans stopped and pulled over, and went to help the driver, reports say. Responders arrived on scene and transported the driver to a hospital.<\/p>\n

The types of injuries the person suffered, and current condition, are not known. The patient’s identity has not been reported.<\/p>\n

The person who had been driving the car has also not been identified.<\/p>\n

Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.<\/p>\n
