VENTURA, CA (May 23, 2022) \u2013<\/strong> Late at night on Friday in Ventura, a hit-and-run driver smashed into a liquor store and fled the scene on foot. The May 20 crash occurred at 165 South California Street where the liquor store is located.<\/p>\n

The time was roughly 11:42 p.m., Ventura Police said.<\/p>\n

No details have been reported on how the crash happened. Responders found a vehicle had smashed into the building, and no one from the crashed vehicle had remained at the site.<\/p>\n

According to Ventura City Fire, the building had damage that was moderate, and responders worked to stabilize the building. No one inside the building was injured, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Investigators are collecting details and searching for the suspect hit-and-run driver.<\/p>\n
