SAN DIEGO, CA (April 26, 2022) \u2013<\/strong> Early in the morning on Monday in San Diego, a crash involving a car and a trash truck on State Route 163 killed a person. The April 25 crash occurred on the northbound side of the roadway, close to Genesee Avenue in the area of Linda Vista.<\/p>\n

The time was roughly 6:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, a car–described as a Ford Fusion–had been traveling north and going at a fast speed. The car struck the rear end of a trash truck that was traveling slower in the right hand lane.<\/p>\n

Responders pronounced the driver of the Ford Fusion deceased at the crash site. He was identified only as 24 years old.<\/p>\n

His name and city of residence have not been reported.<\/p>\n

Reports do not say if the truck driver was hurt in the crash. The person’s identity has also not been reported.<\/p>\n

Investigators are working on the details and information related to the crash.<\/p>\n
