LOS ANGELES, CA (April 4, 2022) \u2013<\/strong> Late at night on Saturday in Los Angeles, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a pedestrian. The April 2 crash occurred in the Boyle Heights area, on Whittier Boulevard where Esperanza Street intersects.<\/p>\n

The time was roughly a little after 10:00 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, the pedestrian was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection and a vehicle–which has not been described–struck him. The driver did not stop to help the victim, but fled the crash site.<\/p>\n

Responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the victim deceased at the crash site. He was described as maybe in his forties or fifties.<\/p>\n

His name and city of residence have not been reported.<\/p>\n

Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash, and the suspect hit-and-run driver, who has not been described.<\/p>\n
