SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (January 20, 2022) \u2013<\/strong> Early in the evening on Sunday in Santa Fe Springs, a car and a big rig collided, killing one person. The January 2 crash occurred on Excelsior Drive.<\/p>\n

The time was roughly 7:15 p.m., according to Whittier Police.<\/p>\n

No details have been reported on the circumstances of the crash. According to reports, when officers came to the crash site, they found a car–which has not been described–beneath the back end of the big rig.<\/p>\n

One person died in the crash. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.<\/p>\n

Investigators are in the process of collecting information and details to understand why the crash happened, and what circumstances may have contributed to it.<\/p>\n
