The December 15 crash occurred on Highway 101 southbound.<\/p>\n<p>The time was roughly a little before 6:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.<\/p>\n<p>The roadway was reported to have been icy at the time of the crash. According to the California Highway Patrol, one of the vehicles spun out in the incident, and ended up lying on its side.<\/p>\n<p>Neither of the vehicles involved in the crash has been described.
