LA MIRADA, CA (October 29, 2021) \u2013<\/strong> Early in the morning on Wednesday in La Mirada, a pedestrian was struck and killed on the 5 Freeway. The October 27 crash occurred on the northbound side of the freeway, close to Valley View Avenue.<\/p>\n

The time was roughly 5:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.<\/p>\n

No details have been reported on the circumstances of the pedestrian being in a traffic lane of the freeway. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian has not been described.<\/p>\n

Responders arrived to help, but the person died at the crash site. His name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.<\/p>\n

The identity of the driver has also not been reported. It is not known if the driver was hurt in the crash.<\/p>\n
